Why the beads???
You may have wondered why my homepage is adorned with a photo of some truly stunning beads. No, I did not make the bracelet. I just fell in love with the colors, and sparkle. It makes me happy just to look at them. When I was a child, one of my favorite movies was Journey to the Center of the Earth, based on the story by Jules Verne, and starring Pat Boone, among others. The movie was filled with action and adventure, but what I remember most was the scene where Pat Boone discovers a wall of jewels! It was fantastic, and the image has stuck with me ever since. The photo gives me the same feeling as that scene in the movie did. I have another connection to beads. I have been an on and off again beader for many years. I love working with beads, and recently I have become hooked on bead embroidery. I like the freedom of doodling with beads, and the best part is there is no right or wrong way to bead embroider.
